Looks like they can't sell enough of them.

He even planted cherry trees

A great visit, definitely the highlight of my DC trip so far.

I had rather be at Mount Vernon with a friend than to be attended at the seat of government."

Breakfast at Tiffany's

Or we would if we could find it. Driving to Mt. Vernon. Kind of Seattle weather but a nice break from the hot sun.

What do you do when your tomtom breaks?

Hopped on this funky bus to tour the memorials because Bappo's GPS device decided to go on vacation. And...it was the best way to lose our tail from the spy museum. Never getting off.

Theatre or theater?

The walking tour was all sold out but Bappo gave me a similar lecture all by himself.

Let's waltz

A little video

I don't know if this video will work.

Tigers vs. Indians game with my new friend Katie!

That was pretty fast

And we're off...There's a dreadlock couple making out on the bus. Looks like they haven't seen each other for awhile, at least they match.

Waiting for shuttle to Rail

Going to catch the Marc into Union Station. We'll see how it compares to Le metro.

Cleveland does Rock...and roll

I'm waiting at the airport for my flight. I think this is the first airport I've been to that doesn't have wireless. My flight leaves in about an hour. Going to grab myself a coffee and check out all the rock n'roll hall of fame stuff. Roxy might be going to an Indians game tonight...haha.

First supper

Mom cooked us a beautiful dinner at Roxy's new place. Of course, while she was cooking, she wrote down everything that Rox still needs for her kitchen. Tonight is my last night. I fly out to DC tomorrow morning. I'm so excited but sad to say goodbye to my sister. Alright, time for bed, hope that darn air conditioner doesn't keep me up again.

Some more Parma Punch

I hope it doesn't look like all we do is drink...don't worry, it's just a berry drink. I've been so busy today, assembling Roxy's furniture and cutting my fingers. Ouch! But it was worth it, the place is looking great!

Spent the day putting together furniture.

Limes on the side

Cocktails in celebration of Paris. Salut!

Cool bumper sticker

Woof

We found it!

Now this is Cleveland

They made a mall out of a steelyard. Pretty creative.

Can't we be Moroccan and just eat on the floor?

Roxy met up with some OCPM students to play some volleyball this morning. Of course they all realized she played college ball because she brought her huge bag of balls with her. Meanwhile mom and I tracked down some furniture we found on Craig's List. We're on our way right now in search of a dining room table. Don't worry, we're not going to be using any shopping carts today.

Parma Punch

Stopped for a quick lunch and happy hour beverage. Vodka tonic tastes pretty good on such a hot day, but Grandpa sure shakes a better drink!

"Are you guys triplets?"

Last night at the "Fox and Hound" Pub, we were trying to explain to our mom why we hadn't gone out for drinks or dinner very much during our roadtrip or in Parma. She kind of laughed and said, well it can't be that bad. Awhile later the manager came over and gave us free coupons for our future visits, which I have to say was one of the nicest "hit-ons" we've had...probably because our mother was there. It's a funny thing, when all of a sudden find manners when they know a mother is around. (Or maybe it's just when our mother is around.) Anyway, I walked out of the pub first and immediately this non-sober man says hello...and I keep walking...mom and Roxy follow me and all of a sudden we heard, "Hey, ladies, come er', who's driving?" I turned around and sharply said, "Our mother, thank you." He then responded, "Oh man, I thought you guys were triplets!" We could only laugh.

PS. I just realized that I didn't explain why I posted a picture of Ariel the mermaid. When the manager came up and started talking to us, he noted that we could be three mermaids...one blonde, one red and one burnette. Sadly, this is not the first time we have heard this.

Drinks with our mom!

Kryptonite ritas anyone?!?

Fox and Hound...and mom

Mom arrived in Cleveland tonight. She found us the only pub in Parma and of course I wanted to go for the foxy drinks. But now that mom is here, we should be able to find all the hotspots in town. Cheers!
