Tigers vs. Indians game with my new friend Katie!

That was pretty fast

And we're off...There's a dreadlock couple making out on the bus. Looks like they haven't seen each other for awhile, at least they match.

Waiting for shuttle to Rail

Going to catch the Marc into Union Station. We'll see how it compares to Le metro.

Cleveland does Rock...and roll

I'm waiting at the airport for my flight. I think this is the first airport I've been to that doesn't have wireless. My flight leaves in about an hour. Going to grab myself a coffee and check out all the rock n'roll hall of fame stuff. Roxy might be going to an Indians game tonight...haha.

First supper

Mom cooked us a beautiful dinner at Roxy's new place. Of course, while she was cooking, she wrote down everything that Rox still needs for her kitchen. Tonight is my last night. I fly out to DC tomorrow morning. I'm so excited but sad to say goodbye to my sister. Alright, time for bed, hope that darn air conditioner doesn't keep me up again.

Some more Parma Punch

I hope it doesn't look like all we do is drink...don't worry, it's just a berry drink. I've been so busy today, assembling Roxy's furniture and cutting my fingers. Ouch! But it was worth it, the place is looking great!

Spent the day putting together furniture.

Limes on the side

Cocktails in celebration of Paris. Salut!

Cool bumper sticker

Woof

We found it!

Now this is Cleveland

They made a mall out of a steelyard. Pretty creative.

Can't we be Moroccan and just eat on the floor?

Roxy met up with some OCPM students to play some volleyball this morning. Of course they all realized she played college ball because she brought her huge bag of balls with her. Meanwhile mom and I tracked down some furniture we found on Craig's List. We're on our way right now in search of a dining room table. Don't worry, we're not going to be using any shopping carts today.

Parma Punch

Stopped for a quick lunch and happy hour beverage. Vodka tonic tastes pretty good on such a hot day, but Grandpa sure shakes a better drink!

"Are you guys triplets?"

Last night at the "Fox and Hound" Pub, we were trying to explain to our mom why we hadn't gone out for drinks or dinner very much during our roadtrip or in Parma. She kind of laughed and said, well it can't be that bad. Awhile later the manager came over and gave us free coupons for our future visits, which I have to say was one of the nicest "hit-ons" we've had...probably because our mother was there. It's a funny thing, when all of a sudden find manners when they know a mother is around. (Or maybe it's just when our mother is around.) Anyway, I walked out of the pub first and immediately this non-sober man says hello...and I keep walking...mom and Roxy follow me and all of a sudden we heard, "Hey, ladies, come er', who's driving?" I turned around and sharply said, "Our mother, thank you." He then responded, "Oh man, I thought you guys were triplets!" We could only laugh.

PS. I just realized that I didn't explain why I posted a picture of Ariel the mermaid. When the manager came up and started talking to us, he noted that we could be three mermaids...one blonde, one red and one burnette. Sadly, this is not the first time we have heard this.

Drinks with our mom!

Kryptonite ritas anyone?!?

Fox and Hound...and mom

Mom arrived in Cleveland tonight. She found us the only pub in Parma and of course I wanted to go for the foxy drinks. But now that mom is here, we should be able to find all the hotspots in town. Cheers!

The sleepover continues...just like we were 12 again!

We finally have a couch to sleep on...but it's not exactly fit for two. Feels like a sleepover again, just like when we were kids. We have one more day of playing house until our Mom arrives to make the final touches. We hope she likes what we've done so far but my guess is that she will change everything. She always enjoys a good furniture rearranging session. On a side note, I just found out that there is a Hard Rock in Cleveland...have to go get my pin!

Foxy and I have been very busy setting up the apartment!

Still have a lot to get...but it's a start, and Foxy and I are having so much fun - starting from scratch!

B-B has a girlfriend!

Whenever I see an open parking spot next to this yellow car...I make sure to take it! (Hopefully the owner isn't getting freaked out.) I just happen to know that Bumblebee has a little crush on Miss Bumblebee...ohh la la. Don't they look good together? You have Foxy and I to thank for setting these two cuties up! ;)

Hmmm...cart or car?

Rolling it to the apartment

Getting stuck in the elevator

Let's just take the cart! Two girls + rope + ruining the top of my new
car = not a good life choice.

Who said Target didn't deliver??

Pedicure with Foxy

Note to Mom - We thought we would do some recon before you got here...to make sure to take you to the right place! 5 more to test out before tomorrow night!

Signing the paperwork!

Don't judge a hotel by its cover

The outside does not do the inside justice.

The lobby

The Penthouse Suite

It looks great! Very cute and sweet, just like Roxy. It has a huge balcony, closet space and an awesome kitchen! More pics to come!

The Regency

Calling the Leasing office!
Taking a look at the apartment...

Parma baby!

We did it!!!
I wonder if Ohio is a red state or a blue state? Gonna have to look up who their Senators are!

The last highway

15 miles from Parma!
I was just informed that our mom and Roxy never saw the actual apartment, but one like it. So this will be fun! Here's hopin' they actually do go by the picture.

These tolls are taking a toll on us!

Another toll? What is up with charging us to drive on these high-end roads? Our exit for I-480E is 150 miles away , which if I am correct will cost $6.50. They could at least hike up the speed limit.

Put your hands up for Ohio!

Ooo Hii Ohio!

Dark clouds ahead

I need some more coffee.

Maxwell just doesn't do it for me.

On the road again

223 miles to Parma, Ohio!

I am a dirty, dirty car...

I can't wait for a car wash and an oil change. But besides that...I'm having a great time with Foxy and Roxy. I must say, I enjoy the tunes and seeing all of my cousins on the road!

One day more

Tomorrow is our final day of the roadtrip and where the real adventure will begin...for Roxy. I'll be at her place until next Friday, and then fly off to DC. Hopefully we will get to Parma around 11am or so and then unload the car before we take off again to get the bare essentials (pillow, towels and something to sleep on). We're thinking of doing a sister night in Cleveland, seeing a movie and exploring the medina. Alright, off to bed...many more funny stories to come. (And remember, don't forget to scroll down to check out more pictures from today!)

Crackle Berry

Roxy and I arrived in Elkhart after a very long day of driving. We hadn't grabbed anything to eat since noon so we decided to walk across the street and experience some Crackle Berry. Let's just say there is nothing like it on the West Coast. It's definitely a "magical place".

*Gary Indiana, I mean Elkhart.

Finally arrived in Elkhart, Indiana at our very high-end hotel. Pretty long day. Lost another hour. Can't wait for bed!

*Hope everyone understands the Music Man reference*

What a tough guy!

But where's his helmet? Safety first! I probably shouldn't have waived at him because he waved back and kind of swirved...

Ohio or bust

First sign we have seen for Ohio! I guess that means we're not lost yet.
